God’s Promise and Supremacy

There is only one faithful God; the one who made the covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who led His people out of Egypt and made them a great nation. And yes, God is powerful. Throughout history, we all know that God created heaven and earth as He has unlimited powers. Thus, He understands the future as He has wisdom around the world’s morality. He also has a great authority power as people believe in Him and spread His ideas to other nations, so they would also believe in the only God. But one of the main things was that God used His power to save us, to plan for our future. (Micah 6:7) ” Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? “. This verse talks about God’s plan for us a Messiah to save all of His people away from sin. Although Judah has sinned against Him; He still has hope for us. The fact that God is almighty, and we, His people, should follow Him, follow His wonderful plan.

God is right and He will always right because He is supremacy and holy at the same time. He has the power to create us, but He also can destroy us. However, God would never do that because He has a plan for everybody, for all of us. In today world, we might question where is God and what is His plan? If we look in a big picture of the world where the poor lives, we might realize that many other people trying to help them day by day. Example like Bill Gates created a huge charity foundation in order to donate poor people and children who might not have chances for education. Therefore God has planned for all of us, but the only thing we need is to wait and put our trust in Him.

God’s Grace

God has taught us to forgive when needed, to spread love and restore the situation with our kindly heart. Although the Lord was furious towards Judah as they have sinned against Him many times, His mercy is bigger than anything. (Micah 7:18) “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.” This verse in my book shows that God doesn’t want to stay angry forever as He wants to forgive Judah. And yes, He forgives the tribe of Judah; God then tries to restore the situation. He punished Judah because He loves them just like parents punish us as they love us; they wanted us to understand and become a better person. Of course, the punishment would also hurt God because the same time He doesn’t want us to get in trouble, but He wanted us to stay with Him, to be His people and receive the gift from a lover.

(Micah 4:10) “Writhe in agony, Daughter Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you must leave the city to camp in the open field. You will go to Babylon; there you will be rescued. There the Lord will redeem you out of the hand of your enemies.” This is a specific example of God, who will save her from the enemies.

Today, we might not clearly see God saves and redeems at all, but He is always there, helping us to go through the hardship of life. Example like the float in Nebraska and Iowa. Although we lost many properties, many people were saved from the float and we also can grow closer to Him as we pray Him to protect us.

The Judgment

Sin leads to the punishment of the Lord. This is a simple thing happened in life as judgment or punishment are to scare people’s mindset about something that they have done badly. In order to help them stay away from bad things and to learn a life lesson, punishment is to put on everybody as a payment for their sin. Particularly, God wants us to be righteousness and to act justly. However, the people of Judah think that they are more important than the Lord, they have sinned against Him. (Micah 6:13) “Therefore, I have begun to destroy you, to ruin you because of your sins.”. God has frustrated because of the unfaithful generation. God even questioned His people “My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me.”, (Micah 6:3). Of course, He is angry because He had led His people for a long time, but hardly ever people respond back to Him faithfully. God is the faithful one; He never betray us as long as we believe in Him and commits our sin.

I’m standing here, in the 21st century, where many people lack emotion to their neighbor, where gender inequality established, and where people only care about money that they even forget their morality. Social evils now become more portentous and dangerous. Things like human trafficking, rape, terrorism, and violence are all sin against God. I am very angry and upset about the world today. I hoped judgment will deliver to those people who sin God, but at the same time, I want to forgive those who have recognized their sin and commit their sin.

God’s dwell among us

I always murmured myself that God is here with us and He is watching us, forever. Though we always think about where is God or what is He doing, but we as His people must always know the truth that God is always here with us. (Micah 1:2) “The earth and all who live in it, that the Sovereign Lord may bear witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.”. From that day, everybody knows the establishment of the Lord as I have delivered His messages. Although people might not see God as He is holy, God is there, not physically but spiritually. (Micah 6:8) “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” This is one of the most important verse in my book as it tells us what to do in order to respond to Him. God wants us to love each other and act justly; He also wants us to walk with Him, side by side, and wait for Him if necessary because He has His wonderful plan for us.

Then why God dwelled among us? Simply because He loves us; He wants us to follow Him, follow His plan of salvation and gift of unconditional love. Certainly, God wants to protect us away from the evil and sin, but what have we done to respond to God? In the modern day, many people know the existence of God, but then they forgot Him just like a stubborn student try not to remember what teachers have told him to do. We are the chosen people of God, we can pray for anything about life because God wants to listen to our feeling as He cares about it. We can read the Bible to understand God more. Finally, we want to recognize this fact. Why? Unconditional love can make everything possible, and God is forever here with us.

The Book of Micah was mostly written during the reign of King of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. I illustrated God’s messages through my book, using poetry as the main method to describe. The book of Micah contains 7 chapters as the size of a Minor Prophet (small book). My book talks about how the poor treated unfairly in the society, the sin of the people, God’s judgment, His plan, and the Messiah.
