My name is Micah, I’m the author of the book of Micah or known as one of the Minor Prophet during the reign of king Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. I was born in the town of Moresheth, an agricultural town in southern Judah. My name means “who is like the Lord”. God sends me to bring His messages; In other words, I am the representative of God who wanted to bring judgement over His people as they have sinned against their Lord. The Lord also wanted me to deliver His future action as He tried to restore what Judah have done as they have sinned against God. When I worked under these king, I realize that there were many poor people that the King don’t even care much about them. As I live among the poor people, I realize that it is time to stop this unfairness in society as then the Lord anointed me.
